Flexirail - Flexipiso

The road safety is a concern in all E.U. territory. The ever-increasing mobility, as a high price, seeing that every years, about 1.400.00 road accidents cause over more than 45.000.00 deads and 1.900.00 injured. The cost, direct or indirect of this carnage, was assessed in 2001, in 160 million EUR wich corresponded, at time, a 2 of the gross national product of the E.U:

The accidents involving motorcicles, represent a significant portion o fthe national road accidents. It is noted that the road environment, in many circunstances, is very critical to the safe of motorcyclists.

With the publication of the portuguese law n.º 33/2004 in the national highway system, it was integrated into the security perspective of two-wheelers.

Starting from a long experience in the manufacture of floor safety, Flexipiso, in collaboration with students of IST ( Superior Technical Institute )designed, developed and tested the FLEXIRAIL®, with a huge suceess.

The FLEXIRAIL® is the effective way for motorcyclists, in case of fall, against security barriers.

Consists on a protection system for motorcyclists (PSM) having, in it's main, the crumb rubbler from recycled tyres, at the end of life. It is (PSM) a continuous type, protecting the props with a metal damper, similar to other's already existing. Your installation does not require any changes to the existing safety barriers.

The FLEXIRAIL® was tested by L.I.E.R- ( LABORATOIRE DE l´INRETS POUR L´EQUIPEMENT ROUTIER), and the tests results are published in the report: FLX/ESM-002/028 of 25/05/2007.
